‘Oppenheimer’ Honored at Saint Laurent and Vanity Fair Party

Saint Laurent has been growing its presence during Oscars Week, hosting an annual dinner and bash in Los Angeles days before the award show, and Friday night was its starriest one yet.

This year’s event, a partnership with Vanity Fair, was held to celebrate “Oppenheimer,” nominated for Best Picture. The film’s director Christopher Nolan, up for Best Director, was in attendance, along with producers Emma Thomas and Charles Roven, Lead Actor nominee Cillian Murphy and Best Supporting Actor nominee Robert Downey Jr. Also from the cast were actors Josh Hartnett, with wife Tamsin Egerton, and Casey Affleck.

Dominic Sessa, who made his film debut in Alexander Payne’s “The Holdovers,” was among the fresh faces, which included actor-singer Dominic Fike of “Euphoria,” who composed a song on “Barbie,” Emily Alyn Lind and Henry Eikenberry.

The film stars were joined by Saint Laurent ambassadors Hailey Bieber, Rosé and Zoë Kravitz, all in black looks from the French house — Bieber donning an oversized suit, Rosé wearing shades with a gown and Kravitz in a sheer, high-slit dress. Nearly everyone wore black — naturally, with Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello at the helm of the brand — including Salma Hayek Pinault, Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm, Channing Tatum and Laura Harrier. Sharon Stone stepped out in a nude-colored trench, as did Donald Glover, joined by Carmen Cuba. The latter two recently worked together on “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” with Glover as co-creator and star and Cuba as casting director.

Other buzzy names from the music world were Steve Lacy, Rauw Alejandro, Iann Dior, Finneas, Lil Dre and Charli XCX. There were the L.A. fashion party scene regulars, too, including models-influencers Devon Lee Carlson, Gabbriette and Alex Consani. Also out in support were Lebanese-Italian fashion designer Tony Ward and models Anja Rubik and Iris Law.

Vaccarello cohosted the affair with Vanity Fair’s editor in chief Radhika Jones and Dame Donna Langley, chairman of Universal Pictures and Universal Filmed Entertainment Group — the studio behind “Oppenheimer.”
