Gwen Stefani Rocks Coachella in Punk-Plaid Bodysuit

Gwen Stefani brought punk style to the Coachella stage in Indio, Calif., on Saturday. While performing alongside No Doubt, the singer wore two custom plaid looks over a full mesh catsuit.

Stefani’s first ensemble consisted of an embellished Roberto Cavalli bodysuit paired with a contrasting color-blocked notch lapel blazer, kilted belt with embellished jaguar heads and knee-high black leather boots, which were covered in crystals.

“The Voice” judge then changed into a plaid bralette, shrug and kilt miniskirt. Stefani’s second look was created by costume designer Ashton Michael. Latto, Avril Lavigne and Camila Cabello have previously worn Michael’s designs onstage.

For her Coachella performance, Stefani wore her platinum blond mane in a high ponytail. Her makeup, which included jewels along her forehead, seemingly referenced her look at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. In true Stefani fashion, she also added on a bold red lip.

Coachella marked No Doubt’s first time playing together in nearly a decade. Stefani founded the rock band in 1986 alongside the late singer John Spence and her brother, former keyboardist Eric Stefani, joined later by guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young.

Roberto Cavalli died earlier this month at the age of 83. The Italian designer launched his brand in 1970 and developed an innovative printing process on leather and denim, building a global fashion and lifestyle business with his bold animal prints, bejeweled distressed jeans and sexy dresses.
