H.E.R. made a surprise appearance during Usher’s Super Bowl halftime show performance in Las Vegas on Sunday. The singer sported a black plunging catsuit with white accents, accessorizing with a pair of lug sole platform boots and gold frames by Jenny Bird.
H.E.R. wore her hair in a half-updo with two small buns. The tips of her dark tresses were dyed red to match her metallic guitar. The Grammy-winning artist was styled by Wouri Vice, who’s also known for dressing stars like Issa Rae and Andra Day.
H.E.R. teamed with Usher for his 2024 track, “Risk It All,” which is featured on his latest album, “Coming Home.” She wasn’t the only collaborator to join him onstage during the Super Bowl halftime show, as Lil Jon, Jermaine Dupri, will.i.am, Ludacris and Alicia Keys made notable cameos.
Lil Jon’s crocodile skin ensemble included a motorcycle vest and skinny trousers. The rapper also added on a beanie, sunglasses and a diamond-encrusted chain. Ludacris, meanwhile, tapped into the football theme, wearing shoulder pads over a leather shirt and shorts featuring blue accents.
Will.i.am also wore leather, pairing a motorcycle jacket with a futuristic helmet and oversize visor shades.
Finally, Dupri suited up in a black and white tuxedo jacket and shorts, adding on a pair of patent leather loafers.
Usher’s halftime performance follows his two-year Las Vegas residency, which concluded in December 2023. The R&B singer recently released his ninth album in partnership with Kim Kardashian’s Skims. He also posed for the shapewear brand’s latest men’s campaign.
Skims’ “Coming Home” release includes an alternative cover and a bonus track, which is fittingly titled “Naked.” Usher’s new LP also features collaborations with Burna Boy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Latto and BTS’ Jungkook.
