Selena Gomez made a case for sequins on the 75th Emmy Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday. The “Only Murders in the Building” actress wore a custom Oscar de la Renta dress embroidered with 450,000 sequins.
Nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program for her role in Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” Gomez was styled by Erin Walsh for the event. Her strapless dress featured crystal fern motifs that were seen in the Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2024 collection.
Gomez carried a clutch by Tyler Ellis and accessorized with Tiffany & Co. by Jean Schlumberger’s Tiffany Bird on Rock necklace. In platinum and 18-carat yellow gold, the necklace featured morganite, diamonds and pink sapphires. She completed it with Schlumberger’s matching flower ring.
To polish things off, manicurist Tom Bachik created a “Gothic Glam Black Cherry” manicure. In an Instagram post, Bachik wrote that the custom color and strong oval shape were essential to complement the intricate pattern of Gomez’s dress. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo Gomez brought the same dark romance to Gomez’s glam with a smoky eye, serious lash extensions and a deep red matte lip.
